CONTACT Helpline is a 24-hour, 7 day-a-week, listening, information, and referral service. CONTACT maintains a database of hundreds of referral agencies, organizations, and programs serving the residents of Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties. We provide listening, information and referral service to the communities of Adams, Cumberland , Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York Counties. Since 1970, our highly-trained volunteers have maintained the 24-hour helpline, answering calls from nearly 2,000 persons monthly. CONTACT is considered the "Gateway to Human Services" in the capital region and maintains the most comprehensive listing of human services available to residents. Through partnerships with a number of county and state agencies and local United Ways, CONTACT continues to improve and expand its services to the community. If your organization meets the following criteria, you may submit information to CONTACT for addition to our database. Any information submitted will be included in our Helpline database, CONTACT Resource Guide (print and CD-ROM format) and possibly in special issue guides. Your agency/organization must:

CONTACT publishes the annual CONTACT Resource Guide and a semi-annual Support Group guide. A CD-ROM format of the annual CONTACT Resource Guide which provides four powerful search methods for locating service providers. See the Resource Guide tab under Publications for more details and ordering information. CONTACT is a volunteer-based organization. Intensive training courses are held two to three times annually and vary by location throughout our service area.
