PA 2-1-1
The
Federal Emergency Management Agency has partnered with 211 for years. Although not
yet officially launched in Central Pennsylvania, 211 is now in place in all 50 states as
well as Puerto Rico and parts of Canada. Following the recent disaster Tropical
Storm Lee, FEMA referred Pennsylvania callers to 211. Fortunately for those in
Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York counties, CONTACT Helpline had
already connected the 211 phone lines. When the 211 calls started coming in CONTACT
Helpline was ready with a list of flood related resources including emergency shelters,
contact information for clean-up crews and supplies, and information about applying for
Federal funding to recover financial losses. Find
