a non profit, volunteer based organization dedicated to providing 24-hour, 7 days-a-week,
listening, health and human service information and referral service.
CONTACT maintains
a database of hundreds of referral agencies, organizations, and programs serving
Pennsylvania residents of Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry Counties.
We
provide listening, health and human service information and referral assistance to the
communities of Adams, Cumberland , Dauphin, Franklin, Perry and York Counties.
Since
1970, our highly-trained volunteers have maintained the 24-hour helpline, answering
approximately 2,000 calls monthly.

Gateway
to Human Services
CONTACT
is
considered the "Gateway
to Human Services" in the capital region
and maintains the most comprehensive listing of human services available to residents.
Through partnerships with a number of county and state agencies and local United Ways,
CONTACT continues to improve and expand it’s services to the community.Language
Line
Using
a grant provided by the United Way of the Capital Region, CONTACT
received
funding to cover the start up costs of using the Language Line. CONTACT
now has access to interpreters of over 150 languages enabling us to better assist our
limited English speaking callers.
In addition, the grant provided the money to pay for the translation and printing of the
CONTACT Helpline informational brochure and posters in Spanish.
